Things to shout about!

While we’re not big headed in any way, I thought it would be nice to let you know how we’re getting on and what we are acheiving.  So here goes:

We have just won the regional title of ‘Best Community Pub 2010′ for the Warm Welcome Awards.  These annual awards are hosted by Scottish & Newcastle for their best pubs across the country.  We were selected following 2 mystery guest visits and an interview with an S&N representative.  There were 80 pubs assessed on their brand standards, service and involvement within the community.  We have been trading for less than 12 months and are delighted to have been awarded this accolade.

TRIP ADVISOR

We are delighted to have a 5/5 rating following 33 reviews on the Tripadvisor.com website.  Thank you to everyone who takes the time and effort to write reviews.

FOOD HYGIENE RATING

We are over the moon to have acheived the maximum ‘5′ rating for the new Food Hygiene Rating Scheme implemented by Bassetlaw District Council.  This is following 3 visits from the environmental health office, which included kitchen inspections and thorough study of the documentation and evidence for the food handling proceedures the kitchen team carry out.

Needless to say, we are as pleased as punch with our Laterooms.com reviews.  We have had 49 reviews so far and 100% said they would recommend us and 100% said they would stay again.   

We are currently working towards our 4* Guest Accommodation rating with the tourist board and hope to be awarded with that certificate this Summer.
